So much had happened since Erik and I had begun our bedroom exploration. Good things, to be sure, but it had also been a rollercoaster ride. That's how it is when you're exploring a new lifestyle, after all.

It had been months since my best friend Sidney and I had gotten together, so when we finally made time for some girl talk and margaritas, boy did I have a lot to tell. I just didn't anticipate how fast Sidney would retell my story to our other friends.
Or how quickly it would get back to Erik.

The road to bedroom liberation isn't a straight line. It's lots of "two steps forward, one step back." I wasn't exactly ashamed of all my missteps. I just wasn't ready for our friends to know all about them.
I played it off, joking with Allie that I'd have to gag her to keep her from spilling all our secrets in the future. But the gleam she got in her eye at that suggestion told me she'd be just fine with that idea.
It also gave me an idea for what we'd be trying next. And it wouldn't be just my name in Allie's mouth, this time.
Untying the Knot
Erik and Allie worked hard to build a life they were proud of. It wasn’t easy, but by the time they reached their forties, they were content. Not just husband and wife, but also mother and father to three energetic boys. Unfortunately, that didn’t leave much time for each other.
This series is their journey to reinvent their intimacy by diving into the world of BDSM. Their love takes them on a year-long exploration of themselves and each other. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of self-discovery to untie the knot of suburban domesticity.
